Semi-Cross Spunlace Nonwoven is a soft and breathable spunlace nonwoven fabric which has the function of liquid absorbent, durable, tough grime clean, sanitary use and SGS proved food grade. It has remarkable strength in all directions and low lint, good color persistence, can be used wet or dry.

This kind of product is made by laying different sized fibers or cellulose into a web under high pressure and velocity of water jets. The water jets entangle and bond the loose fibers to form a cohesive web, which has physical properties of softness, bulk, drapability, stretchiness, good strength and, depending upon the type of fiber used, aesthetics that mimic traditional knitted or woven fabrics. It can be further processed to make embossed, aperture, printed, etc.

Nonwovens are also classified according to the laying process. There are three types of laying processes, namely straight, cross and semi-cross. The straight laying process gives the fabric poor strength in the cross direction, while the cross and semi-cross lays give the fabric uniform strength in both the machine and cross directions. The cross-lapped spunlace is the most widely used and is suitable for a variety of applications.

The nonwoven fabric can be further treated by thermal chopping, meltblown, and spraying. The thermal chopping treatment gives the fabric a soft feel and improves its moisture absorption, while the meltblown process can enhance the fabric’s tensile strength and color fastness. The spraying technique can produce a large variety of colors and designs.

Its annual output includes 25,000 tons of spunlace, 10,000 tons of spunbond, and 1,000 tons of meltblown nonwovens. Its products are mainly used in medical materials (including wet wipes, cotton soft towels, washcloths), beauty materials (cotton sheets, face masks, facial pads, sanitary napkins, and cotton pads), industrial cleaning materials, civil cleaning materials and PU, PVC leather base cloth, etc.
