Spunlace Non-Woven is a fabric made by using a non-woven process known as hydroentanglement. This means high-pressure jets of water entangle fibers to form a strong, durable fabric. The fibers can be natural or synthetic, and the finished product can be a cloth or a sheet. It is also lint-free and soft to the touch. The fabric is widely used in medical, food and home textiles, and it can be made into wet and dry wipes.

The most important factor in spunlace production is the choice of fiber raw materials. The most common are polyester, nylon and polypropylene. Other materials include viscose, chitin, microfiber, silk, bamboo fiber, wood pulp fiber and seaweed fiber. The final fabric has many advantages over traditional textiles and can be used in a wide variety of applications.

To make nonwovens, the raw material is first pulverized and then separated from the impurities by air and water. The resulting fibers are then either carded or air-laid onto a conveyor belt. The next step is hydroentanglement, in which fine, high-pressure jets of water penetrate the web and hit it back and forth, causing the fibers to entangle. The resulting nonwoven is then dried and wound into rolls.

Another type of nonwoven is spun-bond, which uses a heated thermoplastic polymer to bond the fibers together without the use of chemicals. This method is more environmentally friendly than other processes. It is also cheaper to produce than other types of nonwovens. However, this type of nonwoven is less strong than spunlace and is not suitable for medical use.

A third type of nonwoven is melt-blown, in which the fibers are bonded as they are simultaneously attenuated by an aqueous solution. This produces a very strong and durable fabric with good water resistance and clarity. However, it is not as flexible as spunlace.
